The National Fish Habitat Conservation Act (H.R. 2565) has gained three more House co-sponsors in February, bringing the number of co-sponsors who have signed on to the bill in 2010 alone to seve. Representative Bob Wittman (R-VA) signed on in support of H.R. 2565 on February 3, 2010 and Representatives Dan Boren (D-OK) and Kathy Dahlkemper (D-PA), signed on in support of the bill on February 4, 2010.
The total number of co-sponsors signed on to the legislation now stands at 14. With the addition of Representative Wittman, the bill now has four republicans signed on in support. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) was the first Republican to co-sponsor the bill on December 2, 2009. H.R. 2565 was originally introduced by Representative Ron Kind (D-WI) in May 2009.
